A Gentle Note About Booking

To protect the experience for everyone, Miami Oasis is best suited for experienced Airbnb guests.

During the recent holiday season, Instant Book resulted in several reservations from brand-new users who were unfamiliar with the difference between a short-term rental and a hotel stay. Unfortunately, this led to repeated misunderstandings around house rules, expectations, and communication.

For this reason, Instant Book has been turned off. Going forward, guests with no prior Airbnb reviews may still inquire, but reservations will be evaluated individually to ensure the home is the right fit for both parties.

Nature, Neighborhood & Wildlife

The property is located in North Miami, in a wooded residential area where homes sit on generous lots of about half an acre. With trees and open space comes wildlife—raccoons are part of everyday life here. They’re harmless, curious, and easily discouraged by keeping doors and windows closed.

Resident Cats

Friendly cats live on the property and roam the yard. They are part of the charm—and part of daily life here.

Please do not feed the cats, as some require insulin and special diets.

If you are uncomfortable around cats, we kindly recommend choosing another listing.

The middle duplex is not rented; it simply separates the two guest units and allows access for me and my crew to maintain the property and care for the cats.

Winter Pool Heating

From December 21 through March 21, the pool is heated to a comfortable 84°F for winter guests.

Please note: this is a swimming pool, not a hot tub.

Cigarette smoking is allowed outdoors only

Registered guests only—no visitors without prior written permission

Security

For everyone’s safety, security cameras are installed at the front entrance and garage doors. They monitor outdoor areas only.

Grill Use

Guests are asked to bring their own charcoal and to clean the grill after use.

Please remember to keep doors and windows closed while the AC is on—Miami raccoons are always hopeful for a snack.

Rates & Availability

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 7 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 7 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued. Grace period with free cancellation (no cancellation fees or partial refunds possible) for 24 hours after booking if arrival is at least 7 days away at time of booking.
